Master's of Science; Mass Communications; Media Influence & Law finishing with a 4.0 GPA in the Fall of 2016 and received the John Rider Graduate Achievement Award for Excellence. I was also a Graduate Assistant for the Mass Comm department working as their Webmaster, maintaining the department blog, social media accounts, and documenting the department through photos. My research focused on body image and social media. I was selected to be present my research in Rochester, New York at the 8th William A. Kern Conference in Visual Communication - Selfies, Self portraits, and Social Media in April, 2016 being deemed the #SelfieQueen. I love interacting and working with the community while incorporating elements of design into everyday life. I also enjoy being immersed in media; staying on top of the latest advertising, social media, & marketing trends. I've worked in the media industry for over a decade in design building, sales, media management, & various design positions. Outside of work, I really enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, animals, photography, foods, experiences & adventures. I volunteer my time and services for various non profits including BARC, Inc.; BMD Dog Rescue. I'm also a force within event planning; I make things happen and I make it look good. |
"Media is an influential part of society and can be very powerful. I try to be positive & uplifting through all my creations, showing the beauty of not only design, but also, people, their passions, and livelihoods. I, personally, like to produce subject matter and designs that can be thought provoking & provocative to new ways of thinking. Influential for good."
